Rentals
Up The Creek Xpeditions has over 70 kayaks to choose from, including recreational and sea kayaks, sit-on-top kayaks and canoes. Kayaks and equipment proudly feature top industry names.
All rentals are available year round, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with pick and drop-off at the shop 24 hours of the day! Save $10 per day on all rentals that are for 3 days or more.
Recreational and SOT Kayaks (10-14 feet long): $30/day
Sea Kayaks (14-17 feet long with rudder or skeg): $40/day
Tandem (2-person) Recreational and SOT Kayaks: $45/day
Tandem (2-person) Sea Kayaks: $60/day
Canoes: $45/day
Rentals include sponges, paddles & pfd’s as well as sprayskirts, paddle float and pump as required. Drybags, foam roof racks and straps are available on a first come first get basis. (Rentals do not include transportation to and from the Up the Creek store.)
Camping Gear Packages

Now, with Up The Creek Xpeditions’ camping packages ready, you can decide on the spur of the moment to camp on Cumberland!

Camper’s Package: Everything needed for island camping (backpack, 4-man tent, sleeping bag, pad or cot, lantern/lights, stove and cookware). $30/night
Companion Package: Additional backpack, sleeping bag and cot/pad, additional dishware. $7/night
Family Package: All the gear necessary to accommodate a family/group of 4. Includes 2 backpacks, 6 or 8 man tent, sleeping and cooking gear. $45/night
Trailer Rentals:
8 kayak trailer: $40 for up to 3 days
16 kayak trailer: $60 for up to 3 days.
(Requires 2″ ball)
Local Shuttles:
All shuttles include drop-off & pickup of kayaks and gear.
Local shuttles start at $10/boat ($20 minimum)
Longer shuttles are also available, call for details and pricing.

Up the Creek Xpeditions is a great place to rent or purchase gear. You won’t get better service any place else. The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable! We rented a trailer from them when ours broke down… they helped us out immensely and saved my spring break trip!
I canoed and I had an AMAZING time!!! That was my 6th time canoeing w/ up the creek. I had an awesome time and hope to come back later on this summer
