This shop is the best!!!!!
They gave us the support we needed to make our paddle/camping trip to Cumberland Island a success!
When we arrived at St. Mary’s in the beginning of Feb. 2010, we went straight to Up the Creek. Being from Massachusetts, we wanted some local info and we had heard on the Web that these guys were professionals.
Julie was great! She checked the tides with us, looked over our itinerary, and even got on the internet to recheck the latest weather forecast. All this, without us even buying anything from her at all!
With her help, we had a great trip. We had perfect paddling catching the right tides (even caught a tail wind) and cutting the trip one day short to beat the bad weather home.
Without her expert advice, we could have been miserable.
Back at St. Mary’s, we stopped to thank her and bought a nice new cockpit cover from their well-stocked shop, to keep out all that road grime and blizzard snow on the long drive back to Mass.

We had a WONDERFUL experience on our February 13-15, 2010, trip. This was our 4th Sea-Kayak trip from Crooked River State Park to Cumberland Island with Up-The-Creek Xpeditions!
• Reservations were painless & flexible.
• Tom kept an eye on the tides and the weather.
• Julie showed a true mother’s concern as the rain poured on our tents, even driving out to check on us.
• They have always been on time and prepared.
• The kayaks and equipment were all new or like new.
• Our guide took care of us!
