Up the Creek offers a diverse selection of kayak nature tours and specialty trips to many of coastal Georgia and Florida’s most scenic waterways.

We have many day trips, overnight trips and instruction scheduled throughout the year. If your schedule doesn’t match ours don’t worry, we can make special arrangements for you or your group.

ACA Instructor Lessons Jan 26-31

Would you like to stick out from the crowd? Become a resource for your paddling group? Have the ability to walk into a kayak store across the country and get instant respect? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the upcoming ACA sessions are for you.

Tom Nickels is teaming up with Up The Creek this January to provide ACA instructor development workshops and instructor certification exams for levels 1-4. By attending this class, your introduction to technical kayaking will not only expand your skills dramatically, it will enable you to pass these skills on to others.

Tom instructs in the Washington DC area and is one of only two instructors able to provide both training and the certification exam, so this is a real opportunity for training in our own backyard. Also, this class already has enough signed registered participants, so it is a definate go. Many scheduled classes do not reach this point.

ACA Level 1: 2 days. To demo and instruct beginner skill sets. $250
ACA Level 3: 4 days. To demo and instruct intermediate skill sets. $475
ACA Level 4: 6 days. To demo and instruct advanced skill sets. $750

THEY MADE IT!

Seth and Keith have now finished their journey up the length of the St. Johns River. They put their kayaks into the water at Blue Cypress Lake on December 13 and touched the beaches of Huegenot Park at the mouth of the river on December 23.

A big congratulation goes out to our intrepid explorers. Until proven otherwise, Seth and Kieth can proclaim the first continuous through paddle the length of the St. Johns river. Stay tuned for photos and tales of their great adventure.
